Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Application Submitted

 Your application will now be forwarded to the Recruitment Panel for consideration.
Stage 2

Application Review

Your application will be assessed against the key skills and experience required for this role.  The candidates who most clearly demonstrate they meet the criteria will be invited to attend for interview.
Stage 3

Interview

The interview panel will ask a series of questions to allow you an opportunity to demonstrate your particular skills and knowledge relevant to the post.

All candidates will be asked the same questions (however, the selection panel may wish to pursue subsequent issues raised in individual responses made by applicants).

Stage 4

Conditional Offer

A conditional offer of employment confirms that the College is willing to offer employment as long as certain conditions are met which include:
  • satisfactory references;
  • documentary evidence of qualifications;
  • documentary evidence of your right to work in the UK; and
  • you becoming a member of Disclosure Scotland's Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for regulated work with children/protected adults.
Stage 5

Background Check

Stage 6

Formal Offer

A Formal Offer of employment is issued when all checks have been completed and confirmation is in place that all of the required conditions have been met.

Hired

Offer of appointment formally accepted and start date agreed.
